KUCHING: A total of 41 pilgrims from Lawas and Limbang received a heartfelt contribution at Raia Hotel here today.

The contribution from Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, served as a gesture of support and blessings ahead of their Hajj pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

“The contribution is given to assist pilgrims from the Lawas and Limbang areas who are about to fulfill the fifth pillar of Islam.

“I hope all pilgrims from Lawas and Limbang will be blessed with good health, have their affairs made easy, and perform a Hajj that is accepted,” he said.

He said this in his text speech read by Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, Awangku Jinal Datuk Pengiran Jawa, during the contribution ceremony at the hotel.

Awang Tengah also emphasised on the importance of togetherness and moral support for the prospective pilgrims.

“This worship not only requires physical strength but also moral support from their families and the Muslim community, in particular,” he said when officiating the ceremony.
