KUCHING: A delegation from Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (AZAM Sarawak) together with AZAM Young Souls (AYS) on Thursday embarked on an official trip to Kuala Lumpur to participate in Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (LBAS) 2025, scheduled to take place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
The visit aims to strengthen AZAM’s strategic relationships with various national-level agencies and organisations, while also showcasing AYS’ active role in promoting youth development and participatory communication initiatives under the theme “Grow the Youth, Grow Sarawak.”
The delegation is led by AZAM Sarawak chief executive officer, Ali Suhaili, accompanied by several management officers and AYS members who will manage an interactive booth at MITEC.
The booth will feature exhibitions on community development programmes and youth initiatives under the Movement for Progress banner, which reflects AZAM’s commitment to empowering society through effective and collaborative communication.
According to Ali, AZAM’s participation in this programme is not merely routine, but symbolises the ongoing synergy between civil society, government, and the private sector in strengthening state development.
“Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak provides AZAM with an opportunity to connect with the Sarawakian community in Peninsular Malaysia, share community initiatives, and introduce new approaches to empowering youth and development communication. Through AYS’s participation, we aim to nurture a young generation that is not only knowledgeable and confident but also serves as agents of progress wherever they are,” he said.
He added that during the trip, the AZAM delegation will also hold strategic meetings with several organisations and institutions in Kuala Lumpur to expand collaboration opportunities in the fields of strategic communication, social innovation, and youth development.
“We believe that the synergy between agencies and civil society organisations like AZAM can accelerate efforts to realise Sarawak’s vision of becoming a developed, prosperous, and inclusive state by 2030. This is the true spirit of the Movement for Progress that we carry with us,” he added.
AZAM Sarawak’s official trip and participation in Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak 2025 are supported by Faradale Development Sdn. Bhd., the main sponsor for this delegation.
This support signifies Faradale’s continued commitment to strengthening AZAM’s organisational capacity and expanding its social impact through community and youth development initiatives.
