KUALA LUMPUR: Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (AZAM Sarawak) and its youth wing, AZAM Young Souls (AYS), continued their commitment to fostering unity and strengthening Sarawakian identity through their active participation in Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (LBAS) 2025, held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) today (Oct 25).
AZAM Sarawak chief executive officer (CEO) Ali Suhaili said the participation went beyond symbolism, underscoring AZAM and AYS’s genuine commitment to strengthening social connections and unity among Sarawakians.
“Programmes like this serve as bridges that connect Sarawakians wherever they may be. It is not only a space to meet and reconnect but also a platform to renew our sense of belonging, understand new aspirations, and share a collective vision for inclusive progress,” he said.
Meanwhile, AZAM Sarawak Strategic Communication, Media and Youth Relations manager Hassnal Hakim Junaidi described Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak as a valuable avenue that unites Sarawakians in Peninsular Malaysia and reinforces community ties and state identity.
“Lan Berambeh is a gathering that unites Sarawakians abroad — from students to professionals. For us at AZAM and AYS, it’s a precious opportunity to engage with them, witness their talents and spirit, and at the same time share our initiatives. AYS complements AZAM’s mission by ensuring that the voice of youth remains part of the state’s development movement,” he said.
Throughout the event, the AZAM and AYS booth received hundreds of visitors, including students, youth, and Sarawakian professionals based in the Peninsula.
Their booth attracted significant attention from visitors with interactive exhibitions highlighting community development projects, youth empowerment initiatives, and participatory communication programmes conducted across Sarawak.
Various activities and sharing sessions were also held under the theme “Grow the Youth, Grow Sarawak”, emphasizing the crucial role of young people as drivers of the state’s future.
