KUCHING: Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (AZAM) made its first-ever appearance at the Borneo International Consumer Expo (BICE) 2025, held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) from Feb 20 to 23.
AZAM Sarawak Strategic Communications, Media and Youth Relations manager Hassnal Hakim Junaidi said this inaugural participation in BICE 2025 marks a significant step in expanding AZAM’s reach within the business and entrepreneurial landscape.
“Our participation in BICE 2025 opens new avenues for AZAM to engage directly with industry players, entrepreneurs, and consumers from across Borneo and beyond. As an organization committed to community empowerment, this event allows us to share our development initiatives that enhance competitiveness and inclusivity among Sarawak’s communities in the global economic landscape,” he said in a press release issued by AZAM Sarawak yesterday.
At the AZAM Sarawak booth, visitors had the opportunity to explore various community empowerment programs, including youth leadership development initiatives that focus on building character and capabilities among young individuals to lead positive societal change.
“Digital inclusivity was also a key highlight, where AZAM promoted awareness on the importance of technological access and digital skills to empower communities in an increasingly competitive world,” it added.
Additionally, AZAM introduced entrepreneurial initiatives that provide support for local business owners to expand their ventures.
Visitors also took part in interactive sessions featuring the AZAM Toastmasters Club, a platform designed to enhance public speaking and leadership skills among individuals looking to build confidence and refine their communication abilities.
“Furthermore, the AZAM Young Souls (AYS) initiative was showcased as a key effort in encouraging youth participation in social and economic development.
“Visitors also had the opportunity to explore AZAM’s e-publication, Progress, which highlights success stories of Sarawak’s entrepreneurs and talents, inspiring more individuals to contribute to the state’s economic growth,” it said.
