SERIAN: AZAM Young Souls (AYS) recently took the helm as facilitators for the TEGAS Team Building 2025 programme.

Held from January 23 to 25 at the Borneo Empurau Farm and Resort here, the event marked a defining moment in AYS’ history, showcasing its capability to lead and execute high-impact initiatives with professionalism and excellence.

“This milestone event represented AYS’ debut as an organiser since its establishment in 2012.

“It showcases the group’s unwavering commitment to empowering Sarawak’s youth through leadership, collaboration, and innovation, all while demonstrating their readiness to take on significant responsibilities in contributing to societal development.

“This programme exemplifies AYS’ potential as an innovative and dynamic youth organisation that not only inspires positive change but also fosters leadership and strengthens the spirit of camaraderie among its members,” AYS said in its press release.

AYS added that the NGO must be capable of changing public perceptions about AZAM’s role, understanding its mission and purpose, and ensuring good governance practices.

“It is crucial to avoid replicating or duplicating existing ideas, and instead, focus on exploring new approaches to deliver added value to the community,” AYS added.

AYS stated that The TEGAS Team Building 2025 programme provided the NGOs with an invaluable platform to hone their leadership skills, refine organisational capabilities, and cultivate a culture of excellence and resilience.

“Through this initiative, AYS has proven its ability to nurture agents of change who are ready to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the broader landscape of volunteerism,” AYS added.

Looking ahead, AYS is fuelled by its vision to champion progress and innovation, embodying the aspirations of a vibrant and forward-thinking Sarawak.

“The organisation is steadfast in its mission to inspire a movement for transformation, leveraging the energy and creativity of its members to make a lasting impact,” AYS stated.
