KUCHING: Baram FC vows to fight to the final whistle and looks ahead with renewed determination and a full squad for the league’s final stretch.
Team manager, Spanski Steven, said regardless on the outcome of their upcoming Bintulu League match to the quarter-finals — the team takes immense pride in their journey and the heart they’ve shown along the way.
“With just two match days remaining, every second on the pitch matters more than ever,” he told Sarawak Tribune when contacted recently.
He added that this weekend’s match against Stone Kalo will see Baram FC going all out.
The match is scheduled for Sunday (May 25) at Bintulu Stadium, kicking off at 4.30pm.
“We vow to fight for every ball, giving everything we’ve got, and strive to score for all three points. We are determined to finish strong — for the team, the fans, and Baram’s pride.
“We humbly acknowledge the results of our last two matches, where Baram FC was defeated by Mukah YT and Project Park FC. Both are among the strongest teams in Sarawak, and we recognise the challenge they presented,” he said.
While Baram FC are not yet on their level, Spanski, who also serves as the club president, said he and the team are proud to have put out a strong fight — noting that their defeats were far from the widest margin.
“We’re also pleased to announce that our full squad is now available. With the team fighting at full strength, our competitiveness and performance are set to rise. This serves as a crucial boost as we prepare to give our all in the final matches.
“To our loyal supporters: thank you. Your trust and encouragement mean everything to us. Please continue to stand by the team. Building a strong, competitive, professional football club takes time — and we are committed to that journey, just like the great teams we look up to across Sarawak and Malaysia,” he added.
Spanski also highlighted that the club remains grounded, realistic, and focused.
“And that’s exactly why we’re leaving nothing behind in these final two games.
“For Baram. For the badge. For every supporter who believes,” he said.
