KUCHING: 70 children from “Rumah Kanak-Kanak Batu 12” and their wardens were treated to the “Juh Sungkei di BCCK” Ramadan buffet by the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Friday evening.
The event was graced by Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife, Datin Amar Dato Hajjah Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang.
Also present were Assistant Minister of Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring, Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Assistant Transportation Minister, Datuk Dr Jerip Susil and BCCK Chief Executive Officer, Eric Van Piggelen.
In a press statement, Eric said that BCCK was delighted to once again welcome the children from “Rumah Kanak-Kanak Batu 12” for the breaking of fast event. BCCK was grateful to be able to share the blessings of the Ramadan month with them.
“We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the Chief Minister and his wife for making time to make this evening special for the children,” added Eric.
The evening programme included a Doa recital by an iman prior to the breaking of fast and the presentation of “duit raya” to the children by the Chief Minister and his wife.
