KUCHING: Some projects take time to complete because they need feasibility studies and a fair amount of research before they can be implemented.

Tanjong Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu said because of this, people must be patient with some projects, especially those under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

She said projects under RTP often involved huge sums of money, as such, the state government must make sure their implementation is properly done.

“My hope is that if your RTP project seems to be slow, please be patient. Often it is because we have to follow procedure,” she said at the opening of a jetty at Kampung Sileng Melayu during a ‘Leader Meets the People’ session at Kampung Sileng Melayu yesterday.

Jamilah assured her constituents that she would continue to reach out to them in her effort to bring more development projects to them.
