MALUDAM: The 2025 Betong District-level Malay Language Carnival (KBMPDB) has been hailed as a key platform to nurture student talent, build self-confidence, and foster love for the national language.
Lingga Assemblywoman, Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, in a TVS news report said the programme could produce a young generation that is knowledgeable, virtuous, and driven to uphold the dignity of the Malay language and culture.
“Malay is a national heritage that serves as a unifying tool for the people, reflecting the values and identity of the nation.
“Efforts to elevate it must continue, not only within the country but also internationally,” she said when speaking at the closing ceremony of KBMPDB 2025 at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Maludam recently.
She also urged participants to use the experience gained from the carnival as a stepping stone towards greater achievements in the future.
“Congratulations to all winners. Let this valuable experience be your motivation to continue excelling,” she added.
The carnival gathered primary and secondary school students from across Betong District, featuring various activities including storytelling, public speaking, choral speaking, and debating competitions.
Also present was Betong District Education Officer, Mohammad Lela Alamshah.
