As of last year, the Halal sector contributed RM146.6 billion, or 7.7% of the nation’s GDP. Under the Halal Industry Master Plan 2030, Malaysia aims to grow Halal exports to RM300 billion by 2030, with food and beverages expected to remain a key driver.
