MIRI: Miri Disaster Management Committee will provide bigger canopies for three movement control order (MCO) roadblocks in this district, said Minister of Transport Datuk Lee Kim Shin on Sunday.
Lee, who also the minister-in-charge of Miri Disaster Management Committee, these canopies were for roadblocks at Jalan Bulatan Pujut 3, Jalan Hiltop and Jalan Tanjong.
“They are for sheltering the MCO enforcers as they as they work long hours in the rain or hot sun,” he said.
Earlier, he conducted ground inspection at several MCO roadblocks within the city.
Lee was accompanied by the chairman of Miri Disaster Management Committee Abdul Aziz Kohd Yusof.
During his brief visit, Lee gave moral support to the frontliners.
