KUCHING: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd (BIMB) contributed RM915,000 in business zakat to Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) for the 2024 financial year.
The handover ceremony was held today at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg was present to witness the presentation.
The zakat contribution was handed over by BIMB Group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Muazzam Mohamad to TBS general manager Datuk Abang Mohd Shibli Abang Mohd Nailie.
Also in attendance were TBS Operations Sector head Mohd Yusree Mohd Zain, BIMB Group chief social finance officer Mohd Nazri Chik, Group chief business officer Sharifah Sarah Syed Mohamad Tahir, BIMB East Malaysia Regional director Kameri Edi, and BIMB Sarawak state director Ahmad Herni Benjamin.
