BINTULU: In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after getting accidentally impaled with a metal.
Firemen had to cut the metal out from the girl’s thigh in Bintulu Hospital today.
The state Fire and Rescue Operations Centre (Bomba) was alerted to the incident at 1.37 am and personnel from the Bintulu fire station rushed to the scene.
“Upon arrival the firemen saw the girl had a metal pierced through her thigh.
“The firemen had to use a ring cutter to remove the metal out of the victim’s thigh,” a Bomba spokesmen said.
The girl was treated by hospital staff.
The cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained.
