BINTULU: The Bintulu District Police Headquarters (IPD) sports hall has a new look following the completion of upgrading and improvement works.

The hall is now equipped with a new floor, an air conditioning system, a fully equipped badminton court, more comfortable restrooms, and a stage for hosting various events and activities.

The works, carried out under the Tanjong Batu Constituency’s Rural Transformation Project, took five months to complete.

Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming hopes that the new hall will greatly benefit the police officers in Bintulu District and become a better centre for sports and recreational activities in the future.

He handed over the upgraded sports hall to Bintulu District police chief Supt Nixon Joshua Ali on Wednesday (Aug 14).
