BINTULU: Progressive Democratic Party president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing is shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing yesterday (Oct 31).

The Bintulu MP, on his Facebook post, described the demise of the Parti Rakyat Sarawak president, who was also his colleague in Gabungan Parti Sarawak, as a great loss for the state.

“This is because the late Tan Sri was a Dayak leader with a people’s spirit, who was farsighted and wise.

“I offer my condolences to Masing’s family and may the spirit of the deceased rest in peace,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister passed away yesterday morning due to heart complications after being confirmed positive for Covid-19 in September.
