ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates: Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd (BPHB) and Abu Dhabi Ports Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate a strategic collaboration in the maritime sector.
The ceremony was witnessed by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Khalifa Port here today, local time.
The partnership between the two parties aims to foster long-term cooperation in the development and enhancement of port infrastructure, maritime logistics and port-related services at Bintulu Port, in addition to other areas of mutual interest.
The agreement was formalised through an exchange of official documents between BPHB Group Chief Executive Officer, Ruslan Abdul Ghani, and Abu Dhabi Ports Group Regional Chief Executive Officer, Ahmed Al Mutawa.
Also present were Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Sarawak Attorney General Datuk Seri Saferi Ali, State Financial Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar, as well as other senior Sarawak government officials.
