Bintulu Port Foundation donates RM200,000 to LAKMNS

KUCHING: Bintulu Port Foundation contributed RM200,000 to the Sarawak State Mosque Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS) at a ceremony held at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex today.

The handover was witnessed by Premier and LAKMNS chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) Group Stakeholder Relations general manager and Bintulu Port Foundation chief executive officer Maslihah Tioh presented the mock cheque to LAKMNS chief executive officer Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai.

The donation aims to further strengthen the strategic partnership between BPHB and LAKMNS while supporting mosque development and enrichment initiatives through high-impact programmes.

It also reflects Bintulu Port Foundation’s commitment to advancing social and religious development in Sarawak.

Also present were Sarawak State Secretary and BPHB chairman Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, who is also a LAKMNS Board member; Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali; Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Dr Annuar Rapa’aee; Deputy Minister of Economy and Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib; LAKMNS honorary secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Abdul Aziz Husain; and LAKMNS honorary treasurer Datuk Dr Salihin Abang.
