KUCHING: Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd (BPHB) contributed RM3.2 million in business zakat for 2026 to Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) in a ceremony witnessed by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Kompleks Satria Pertiwi here today.
During the ceremony, BPHB’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ruslan Abdul Ghani, presented a mock cheque for the zakat contribution to TBS’ General Manager, Datuk Abang Mohd Shibli Abang Mohd Nailie.
Also witnessing the handover were BPHB’s Chairman, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, and President of the Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS), Datuk Misnu Taha.
The business zakat contribution reflects the corporate sector’s continued commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility while supporting efforts to enhance the welfare of those in need in Sarawak through the zakat institution.
