Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the 8.48 am incident, as the tenants managed to evacuate safely.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from the Petra Jaya station were dispatched to the scene, about 6km away, after receiving a distress call at 8.48 am. They were later joined by firefighters from the Batu Lintang station to assist in firefighting efforts.
Upon arrival, they found the first house beyond saving, while two adjacent houses sustained 30 per cent damage to their outdoor ceilings, though their interiors remained unaffected.

It was reported that the damaged houses were uninhabited.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team concluded the operation at 10.59 am. The cause of the fire and the losses incurred are still under investigation.
