BETONG: A 14-year-old girl sought assistance from the Fire and Rescue personnel to remove a ring stuck on her right ring finger on Wednesday night.
A spokesman for Betong fire station said the girl, from Kampung Baru Hulu, turned up at the fire station at around 9.50pm after she realised she could not remove the ring from her ring finger that had somehow swollen up.
“The girl had tried various ways to remove the ring from her finger for the past two days but failed.
“Two Fire Officers, Abang Muhd Fhazil and Dingat Ngadi from team Charlie immediately carried out the operation to remove the ring after receiving her request,” he said.
The spokesman added that it took the two officers 15 minutes to remove the ring.
