KUCHING: SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was approached by residents of Lorong 30, Stampin Resettlement Scheme, Jalan Stampin Baru here, recently.
The residents were very concerned of the safety aspect in the event of a fire due to broken down fire hydrants in the area.
Following the requests for assistance, Wilfred Yap together and other SUPP members went to inspect and assess the situation to see what can be done to resolve the problem raised by the residents.
The problem was immediately brought to the attention of Fire and Rescue Services Department (Jabatan Bomba Dan Penyelamat) and all the three fire hydrants at Lorong 30 were repaired.
Yap thanked the Fire and Rescue Services Department for their speedy action in repairing the three fire hydrants.
