SARIKEI: The Sarikei Tech Incubator Demo Day and the Malaysian Business Angel Network (MBAN) Fireside Chat showcased Sarikei’s strides in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Officiated by Sarikei Resident Datuk Michael Ronnie Langgong, the event celebrated local entrepreneurs’ achievements, highlighted business growth opportunities, and introduced angel investing to the community.
Michael stressed the incubator’s role in empowering entrepreneurs to embrace innovation, adapt to challenges, and rethink traditional approaches. Over a four-week program, participants honed strategies, developed no-code prototypes, and tackled real-world problems.
The event culminated with entrepreneurs presenting innovative solutions to a panel of judges, including MBAN angel investors, who provided critical feedback and mentorship.
The Fireside Chat spotlighted angel investment’s role in scaling businesses and offered insights for potential investors to support early-stage ventures through the MBAN Sarawak Chapter.
Aligned with the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS2030), which aims to establish 500 tech startups by 2030, the Sarikei Tech Incubator fosters resilience, creativity, and sustainable ventures.
These initiatives signify Sarikei’s commitment to drive economic growth and innovation, paving the way for a brighter future for Sarawak.
