KUCHING: A total of 200 micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) from all over Sarawak were selected for the inaugural Juh Digital Bootcamp.
According to Borneo Digital chief executive officer and Juh Digital Bootcamp lead faciltator Azhar Rashid, the four-week virtual digital marketing programme is an effort by the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment (Mintred) and Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (Tegas) to continue its momentum to support the MSMEs.
“Furthermore, it also aims to empower MSMEs and youth entrepreneurs with digital skills to succeed in the digital economy as well as to increase the digital presence of the business community in Sarawak.
“Through this programme, you have the opportunity to gain digital skills and knowledge with a team of creative and technology professionals who are passionate and dynamic.
“All of this will be shared with you through professionally produced online training, according to the essential needs of the micro, small and medium business industries,” he said in a statement here yesterday.
Meanwhile, Tegas chairman Datuk Len Talif Salleh said that the said programme was made for the community and fully funded by the Sarawak government.
“After joining this programme, participants will have hands-on experience in setting up their digital presence to expand their market reach.
“Especially during these trying times, I would like to encourage new and budding entrepreneurs to find out more about the opportunities made available under Mintred and Tegas,” he added.
For the record, the programme runs virtually from July 23 to Aug 13.
It covers topics such as digital marketing research, copywriting and creative design, video marketing and basic live streaming, paid ads, digital marketing strategies, analysis and reporting.
