KUCHING: A meeting will be held next month to review the progress of projects along the Malaysia-Indonesia border, particularly in Sarawak and Sabah, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

“All implementing agencies at both the state and federal levels will be called to review the progress of all projects being carried out,” he said.

Fadillah added that he will personally visit Sarawak and Sabah to monitor project updates, implementation, and other related matters.

“Apart from project statuses, we will also look into any problematic projects that require attention. I will chair the meeting this December,” he told a press conference after attending the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) townhall session at Dewan Malaysia Jaya, Petra Jaya today (Nov 30).

Regarding the RM1 billion Federal Government allocation for border facilities, Fadillah said that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had instructed him to work with the Sarawak and Sabah governments and relevant agencies to expedite project implementation.
