KUCHING: A political observer opines that the proposed establishment of Borneo Alliance with opposition Warisan of Sabah is an exercise at ambitious dreaming.
Datuk Peter Minos said that the two failed parties (PSB and Warisan) have very little in common and are not consequential in fighting for Sabah and Sarawak even if united.
“Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) should be humble and modest after losing badly in the last state election after all their big dreams, talks and massive propagandas of taking over Sarawak.
“Meanwhile, for Warisan, when they contested in Johor (in the just concluded state election) and Sabah, they were totally rejected as they are only good at enticing others to join with big promises,” Minos said when contacted by the New Sarawak Tribune on Monday (Mar 28).
He said, on the other hand, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is more than capable of looking after Sarawak.
“Aside from being united, it is also being backed by Sarawakians and well led. The establishment of the Borneo Alliance will not pose any challenge to GPS.
“If Sarawakians are not with PSB and if PSB teams up with ailing Warisan, it will be more sickly, not regarded, and unwanted as it only has a little nuisance power.
“All GPS has to do is ignore them,” he said.
Recently, PSB president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh called on opposition parties in Sarawak and Sabah to form Borneo Alliance as a united front in facing the 15th general election.
He said this synergistic partnership will be a leap forward for the Borneo states.
