SERIAN: Smiles are set to light up the faces of parents looking to treat their children and loved ones to a relaxing getaway at Borneo Empurau Farm & Resort (BEFR) in Tarat here.

The agro-tourism and eco-tourism destination is rolling out special promotional entry packages in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, offering families a more affordable option for a festive outing.

BEFR’s Director, Abdullah Jawawi, said the entrance fee for children aged 12 and below has been reduced to RM25 from RM40 previously.

Meanwhile, the rate for visitors aged 13 and above has been lowered to RM45, compared to the earlier RM60.

“We are offering this special package to visitors in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The promotion runs from March 1 to 31,” he said in an interview recently.

Abdullah noted that the promotional package is particularly appealing as it provides access to all attractions within the resort, giving visitors greater value for their money.

“What makes this offer attractive is that it covers entry to every attraction available at BEFR,” he explained.

Recognised as Malaysia’s most expensive exotic fish farming centre, BEFR features a wide range of recreational and educational attractions suitable for visitors of all ages.

Among the highlights are a water theme park, a bird park, an aquaculture centre and a large-scale livestock breeding facility, as well as other family-friendly attractions.

“There are many interesting spots to explore when visitors come to BEFR, and at the same time, it creates double the excitement for them and their families,” he added.

The promotion is expected to draw increased visitor traffic to Serian during the festive month, further strengthening the area’s appeal as a family-friendly tourism destination.
