MIRI: The 19th Borneo Jazz Festival (BJF) will return from Oct 31 to Nov 2, reinforcing Miri’s role as a hub for music tourism.
Miri Mayor and Pujut assemblyman Adam Yii Siew Sang said this year’s theme, Jazzy Miri, would showcase the city’s beauty, heritage, and creative talents.
“This reflects the capacity and expertise within our community to deliver an event of international scale, while strengthening Miri’s creative industry,” he told a press conference recently.
The festival, to be held at Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club, is organised by Miri City Council with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry & Performing Arts (MTCP) and Sarawak Tourism Board (STB).
It will be fully managed by Miri Event & Decor Specialist, a local team that has been entrusted with the event for the second year.
This year’s line-up includes Aina Abdul, Aisya Retno, Amsyar Leee, Jaz Hayat, NonaRia, Tabitha King, On The Rug, Aruel Ariel & Fasola, Pop n Bop and The Echoes.
The three-day event will be hosted by Kim Goodburn and Melisha Lin, adding further glamour to the celebration.
