KUCHING: A 12-year-old boy sustained a deep slash in his ankle after he tried to open a coconut in his village yesterday.
The teenager from Kampung Gobel, Petra Jaya climbed the tree to pick the coconut at noon and was opening it up when he accidentally slashed his right ankle.
He sustained a deep slash which cut to his bone. Family members rushed him to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) where he was warded for further medical attention.
