SARIKEI: Member of Parliament for Sarikei, Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, emphasised the importance of adhering to the project timeline and urged contractors to complete work as scheduled for the Mesra Rakyat Project in the Meradong area.
Representing the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Gung Chiu Kion said that the projects, funded through allocations sought by Huang, aim to enhance infrastructure for the local community.
Gung conducted a site inspection of the project today and oversaw a handover ceremony for project sites to the appointed contractors.
The inspected sites included Jalan Bas Sekolah Ting, Sungai Bakong/Meradong, Jalan Puan Leh Yii, Sungai Meradong, Jalan Yeo Siew Lim, Jalan Hap Hing, Sungai Tulai, Jalan Liou Chiew Tie, Jalan Chai Hing, Mador, and Jalan San Hing Lorong 1 and Lorong 2, Sungai Tulai.
Joining the inspection were Public Works Department (JKR) officers, Markhzen Rahman and Robert Gani, who provided technical oversight for the projects.
Huang encouraged local residents to cooperate fully to ensure the projects proceed smoothly and safely.
