KUCHING: The driver of a Perodua Kancil car died on the spot after the car he was driving collided with an army truck at Jalan Quarry near Semenggo Camp at Kota Sentosa near here yesterday morning.
Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received a distress call at 7.49am and 10 firemen led by PBK II Arisa Arsad were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival the firemen found that the car driver was trapped in his seat.
After the driver was extricated, paramedics who were also at the scene confirmed that the driver has died. The driver in his 20s has not been identified as he was without any personal documents.
The truck driver was unhurt.
