BAU: Tasik Biru Assemblyman, Datuk Henry Harry Jinep, distributed education incentives amounting to RM7,300 to 23 students who have been accepted into public and private institutions of higher learning (IPTA and IPTS) from his constituency.

“This one-off contribution from the Sarawak Government is aimed at encouraging students who are pursuing their tertiary education across various fields.

“It is also meant to ease the financial burden of their parents or guardians as the children enroll into IPTA and IPTS,” he said.

“The cash incentive was the fourth round of distribution this year, whereby a total of RM20,900 have been disbursed thus far to a total of 52 recipients this year,” he said during the incentives’ handover held at Tasik Biru Service Centre Office here recently.

Henry stated that the incentives were given regardless of race or income background, as long as the applicants meet the required criteria.

For the record, in 2024, education incentives totalling RM90,200 in education incentives have been distributed to 160 students from the Tasik Biru constituency.
