KUCHING: CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi) has introduced SafePAY Jr, a new child-safe subscription service bundled with the Vircle Visa Prepaid Card, aimed at helping families manage and guide children’s spending in a secure digital environment.

Launched in collaboration with Debit Circles Sdn Bhd (Vircle), SafePAY Jr integrates Vircle’s e-wallet platform with a prepaid card designed specifically for children, enabling parents to monitor transactions, set spending limits and block unsafe purchase categories in real time.

CelcomDigi said the initiative forms part of its safety product portfolio and reflects a shared commitment with Vircle to promote responsible financial habits among young users while safeguarding them from risky or inappropriate spending behaviour.

Available exclusively to CelcomDigi Postpaid customers, SafePAY Jr is now offered at a special introductory price of RM1 for the first month, followed by RM8 per month, with a one-off processing fee of RM10 upon subscription.

Through a single app, parents are able to manage allowances, approve or block spending categories such as online stores or digital goods, receive instant alerts on card usage, and freeze or unfreeze the card when necessary. Transactions involving restricted categories — including liquor outlets, gambling, vape and dating services — are automatically blocked by default.

The prepaid model also ensures spending remains within preloaded limits set by parents, while features such as task-based rewards and allowance management encourage children to learn financial responsibility in a controlled setting.

Customers may subscribe to SafePAY Jr via the CelcomDigi app. For more information, visit cdlink.net/vircle
