KUCHING: A three-day agricultural extravaganza, the Gedong Agrofest 2024, has officially begun at Anjung Gedong.
The event, co-organised by the Sarawak Department of Agriculture in conjunction with its 100th anniversary, promises a vibrant showcase of the state’s agricultural sector.
More than 20 exhibitors from various government and private entities are participating, offering a diverse array of experiences for visitors.
These include Madani Agro products sale by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), demonstration of agricultural technology and machinery, registration for Sarawak ID and e-Agriculture initiatives and free health screenings.
Adding to the excitement, a lucky draw with enticing prizes awaits visitors.
The event also features a variety of competitions, including fishing, pétanque, karaoke, and e-Sports, catering to diverse interests.
The closing ceremony on June 12 will be officiated by Minister of Food Industry, Commodity, and Regional Development Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom.
