MIRI: The staging of the concert “Imran Ajmain – Malam Seribu Tahun – Live in Miri” on February 13 is expected to revitalise Sarawak’s tourism appeal, particularly in the city of Miri, in line with the targets of Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
The concert, to be held at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club, will feature popular Malaysian singer and songwriter, Imran Ajmain and serve as a strategic platform to promote Miri as a preferred tourism destination.
This is in line with the Sarawak Government’s initiatives through the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts to further strengthen the state’s tourism sector and creative economy.
To date, about 35 per cent of total ticket sales have been purchased by fans from Brunei Darussalam, reflecting the event’s strong potential to stimulate cross-border tourism movement.
The concert not only meets the demand of local and regional fans but also supports Sarawak’s efforts to strengthen its position as an international-standard events and entertainment destination.
