MIRI: The Senadin Constituency Centre’s “Mobile Service2U” programme, spearheaded by Senadin assemblyman, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, held its weekly meet-the-people session at the UNIQUE Food Court on Sunday morning.

The initiative, supported by a dedicated team from SUPP Senadin, focused on addressing community concerns and assisting residents with public service applications.

Lee, who is also Minister for Transport, was joined by an active team comprising councillors and local leaders, including Cr Jeffery Phang Siaw Foong, Cr Kueh Chie Tiong, Cr Yap Siew Jin, and Kapitan Jee Kee Hiong.

The session provided an interactive platform for residents and stall owners to raise feedback and concerns about local issues, which the councillors promised to forward to the Miri City Council for resolution.

A key highlight of the session was the attention given to senior citizens enquiring about the Senior Citizen Health Benefits (SCHB) programme.

The SUPP Senadin service team, present on-site, provided detailed guidance on the application process and pledged ongoing support to ensure eligible seniors can access these benefits seamlessly.

Lee emphasised the importance of such grassroots initiatives, saying, “Community engagement is vital to improving services and ensuring residents’ voices are heard.

“Programmes like ‘Mobile Service2U’ allow us to gather direct feedback and provide immediate assistance, particularly to vulnerable groups like our senior citizens.”

The Mobile Service2U programme reflects SUPP Senadin’s commitment to fostering closer ties between local leaders and the community while addressing pressing concerns and facilitating public services.

The team reiterated its dedication to assisting residents in accessing government initiatives and encouraged the public to continue utilising such platforms for constructive dialogue and support.
