Che Hui Khor donates hearing aids to deaf students

KUCHING: The Moral Uplifting Society Che Hui Khor of Kuching & Samarahan Division Sarawak has extended its charitable cause by providing free hearing aids to 15 hearing-impaired students of SK Pendidikan Khas Samarahan.

The aid was presented during the launching ceremony which was officiated by Advisor of Che Hui Khor, Temenggong Liu Shixing, to which would significantly improve the students’ hearing ability and learning experience,

During the event, he observed the hearing tests conducted by technicians from Ming Ya Shan Ge Jakarta, Indonesia, and expressed appreciation for the use of the latest and most effective hearing aid technology.

“This initiative is a noble act of humanity and righteousness. Supporting hearing-impaired students in such a way deserves recognition and continued support,” Temenggong Liu said as he praised the collaborative effort.

The ceremony highlighted the impactful partnership between Che Hui Khor and Ming Ya Shan Ge in offering assistance to students in need.

This charitable initiative, with technical assistance from Ming Ya Shan Ge, continues today at SMK Gapor and SMK Green Road in Kuching, benefitting more students.

“In addition to today’s session at Samarahan Special Government Primary School, the program will extend to SMK Gapor in the Sibu district tomorrow morning, where 26 students will receive the free hearing aids. A total of 45 students will benefit from this two-day programme,” he said.

Che Hui Khor president, Chai Ming Kuet expressed heartfelt gratitude to Temenggong Liu Shixing for officiating at the event, describing the ceremony as simple yet meaningful.

He also acknowledged Temenggong Liu’s generous sponsorship of both the hearing tests and the hearing aids provided to the students.
