KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak Chief Ombudsman, Datuk Seri Abdul Ghafur Shariff, paid a courtesy and working visit to the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) headquarters at Menara TH Perdana on Friday.

The visit aimed to enhance strategic cooperation between the Sarawak Ombudsman and SUHAKAM, particularly in efforts to strengthen public service delivery in Sarawak.

During his meeting with SUHAKAM Chairman, Prof. Datuk Dr Awang Sariyan, both parties discussed opportunities for collaboration in key areas such as institutional capacity building, public awareness initiatives, training programmes, policy research, and more structured management of public complaints.

Abdul Ghafur expressed his appreciation to SUHAKAM for hosting the visit and said he was confident that the synergy between both institutions would contribute to fostering transparent, accountable and people-centric governance in Sarawak.
