KUCHING: The MACC is hilarious because it has nothing to do with corruption of any kind. Unlike the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), this MACC is in the laughter business.
So get ready for the Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians which is coming to town to tickle your funny bone.
Made up of Douglas Lim, Dr Jason Leong, Kuah Jehan and Phoon Chi Ho, this comedic troupe will entertain Kuchingites in connection with its 10th year anniversary at 8pm on October 12 at Chemsain Auditorium.
Local purveyors of stand-up comedy will have an opportunity to catch these guys by purchasing tickets at www.maccmaniax.com or contact Kim at 012-8086262.
Tickets cost RM80 for the front row and RM70 for the middle up to the back rows.
The comedians will also be sharing about life behind the curtain on October 13 at The Food Lounge, The Hills Mall. Entry is RM10 per pax.
Managed by Jom TEH! (Talents by Event Horizon), the event will be held in conjunction with the ‘What About Kuching (WAK) 2019’ festival.
Jom TEH! can be found on Facebook at ‘jomtalentsbyeventshorizon’ while MACC is at ‘MACComedians’.

This is Jom TEH!’s fourth year of bringing in stand-up comedy. For last year’s WAK, they brought in a sold-out show called Angry Indians who performed alongside local boys from SaraLawak.
