KUCHING: The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) celebrated its first ever pre-Christmas Gathering at its headquarters here in Kota Padawan yesterday.
MPP chairman Lo Khere Chiang described the gathering as a meaningful event which had united the staff members in working together to make the event a success.
“I thank everyone for their contribution in holding this event.
“We should remind ourselves that the inclusiveness of festivity is important among us,” he said, adding that the gathering also enlivened the office as it brought everyone together to celebrate and enjoy themselves at the same time.
Meanwhile, organising chairman Cr Wadek Boyod said the simple celebration aimed to foster closer relations between the staff members.
“Although this is the first time we organise this event, we hope it would not stop here and would be continued in the coming years.
“This gathering also reminds us to respect each other’s religions and live together in harmony,” he added.
