ALOR SETAR: Citadel Group, a dynamic Malaysian company established in 2019, has launched a partnership with GoBarakah, a pioneering Shariah-compliant e-voucher platform, to provide much-needed aid to students affected by the recent floods in Kedah. This initiative seamlessly integrates technology with charitable giving, ensuring that 100 per cent of donations reach verified beneficiaries with full transparency.
Citadel Group, together with its clients and agents, has set a target of raising RM50,000 to support at least 250 secondary school students in Kedah. The funds will be channeled directly to providing essential school supplies, enabling these students to continue their education despite the hardships caused by the disaster.
Through the integration of smart tracking and seamless digital transactions, Citadel and GoBarakah are setting a new benchmark in disaster relief by bridging technology with social impact. This campaign utilises GoBarakah’s secure digital aid management system to optimse the distribution of financial assistance.
This ensures that funds are effectively allocated for purchasing critical supplies such as food, clothing, and back-to-school kits – including uniforms, books, and stationery, at selected partner outlets.
Through the GoBarakah app, each donation is securely redeemed, whether partially or fully, via digital transactions according to the recipient’s needs, ensuring full transparency and efficiency in fund allocation.
“Our commitment is to stand with the communities impacted by the recent floods by offering tech-powered, tangible support that makes a real difference in their recovery journey,” said Fred Chan, director of Citadel Group. “Through innovative digital solutions, we are making sure aid reaches the right people quickly, ensuring that children can continue their education without disruption.”
Launched in November 2023, GoBarakah is transforming social assistance delivery through its e-voucher technology. This cutting-edge platform enhances transparency, traceability, and efficiency in the distribution of donations, including public contributions, CSR funds, and wakalah. By integrating digital technology, GoBarakah fosters a seamless and accountable ecosystem that connects corporate funders, verified donors, organisations, and beneficiaries, effectively addressing inefficiencies in traditional giving methods.
This collaboration between Citadel Group and GoBarakah exemplifies the power of technology-driven philanthropy, ensuring that aid not only reaches those in need but does so in a timely, transparent, and impactful manner.
