KUCHING: Kuching city mosque now can assist visitors to gain more information about Kuching city through its digital information kiosk.

Launched by Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, the kiosk is part of the initiative under Kampung Heritage Trail, a project spearheaded by the state government on the conservation of heritage sites.

Apart from assisting visitors, the interactive digital info kiosk also offers a virtual tour via augmented reality technology.

“Sarawak State Mosque Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS) would also suggest establishing Masjid Tour Guide as complementary tool for entrepreneurial post.”

The installation of the information kiosk was a collaboration between LAKMNS, Universiti Malaysa Sarawak (Unimas) and Old Kuching Smart Heritage (Okshe).
