KUCHING: Mayor of Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Datuk Wee Hong Seng, paid a courtesy visit to the Padungan, Sekama and Central Police Stations in conjunction with Police Day today (Mar 25), to extend warm wishes and express appreciation to the police personnel for their dedication and commitment in safeguarding the city.
Accompanying the mayor during the visit were deputy mayor Datuk Zaiedi Suhaili, along with councillors Eric Tay, Mok Chuang Ping, Andy Tan, Thomas Sim and Albert Tay.
Wee acknowledged the vital role played by the police in ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order in the city.
He commended their tireless efforts, professionalism, and unwavering service in protecting the community, particularly in times of crisis and uncertainty.
“The safety and security of Kuching is a result of the strong partnership between the police and the community. We sincerely appreciate the sacrifices and contributions of our police force,” said Wee.
He further expressed MBKS’ commitment to continuing its close collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police to build a safer and more resilient city for all.
“MBKS will continue to support initiatives that strengthen community policing and enhance the well-being of the people,” he said.
