KUCHING: One hundred Sarawak civil servants received contributions from the Sarawak branch of the Malaysian Government Officers’ Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK).
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg handed over the contributions to 20 representatives during a breaking-of-fast event with civil servants at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here on Monday (Feb 23).
Prior to the presentation, the Premier joined dignitaries and Muslim civil servants in breaking fast and performing the Maghrib prayer.
Following the ceremony, Abang Johari and the distinguished guests performed the Isyak prayer and continued with the tarawih prayer before the event concluded.
Among those present were Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, State Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and heads of departments.
