SIBU: A pickleball clinic held at the Centennial Hall of SMK Sacred Heart here on Friday has attracted hundreds of students who participated enthusiastically throughout the session.

Conducted by Lanang Pickleball Club (LPC) at the invitation of SMK Sacred Heart, the clinic is aimed at introducing pickleball and teaching the basic skills of the game to students.

The programme was led by LPC president, Daniel Iing , together with experienced coaches and club members.

During the clinic, students were introduced to the background of pickleball, basic rules, equipment used and fundamental playing techniques besides being given the opportunity to experience playing pickleball on the court.

Iing stated that the main objective of the programme is to promote pickleball among young people while encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle.

He also expressed appreciation to SMK Sacred Heart for the invitation and strong cooperation.

“Overall, the clinic was successfully conducted and achieved its goal of introducing pickleball as a fun, easy-to-learn sport suitable for all ages,” Iing added.
