KUCHING: Six industrial air coolers with humidifying functions, valued at RM18,000 have been handed over to Klinik Kesihatan Kota Sentosa.

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap, who presented the air coolers, said these contributions are a temporary solution to improve the patient environment, as the clinic’s existing air conditioners have been malfunctioning.

In addition to the air coolers, Yap also agreed to assist the clinic in setting up a Triage Counter, a project estimated to cost around RM15,000.

“The counter will include equipment such as a counter table, computer, ergonomic chair, TV set, loudspeakers, and a microphone,” said Yap in a statement.

During his visit to the clinic, the panel of advisers briefed Yap on the importance of the Triage Counter to improve patient management.

They explained that the triage system would streamline processes, cut waiting times, and ensure timely care. Without it, non-urgent cases could overwhelm the clinic and delay treatment for those needing immediate attention.

According to Yap, this initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to improve health service delivery, patient outcomes, and the overall quality of care at Klinik Kesihatan Kota Sentosa, benefiting residents in the Kota Sentosa constituency.
