SIMANGGANG: Social facility projects under the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development (MySED) in the Sri Aman Division will be closely monitored to ensure that any issues encountered during implementation are resolved effectively.
According to a statement from the Sri Aman Division Resident’s Office, a coordination and monitoring meeting was held to discuss the progress of the implementation of MySED’s physical social infrastructure projects.
Among the projects discussed were the proposed construction of buildings and sports facilities at the Sri Aman Sports Complex, the proposed construction of a new Sri Aman Civic Centre, upgrades to the Sri Aman Swimming Complex, and the construction of the Lingga Sports Complex and the Engkilili Mini Stadium.
Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, in the same statement, emphasized the local community’s need for sports facilities such as futsal courts, football fields, petanque courts, tennis courts, boxing training centres, athlete dormitories, and more.
“In this regard, I hope that these coordination efforts will help expedite the implementation of projects by resolving the issues faced during the process,” he said.
A follow-up meeting will be held to review the development of these projects and the maintenance of sports facilities from time to time for the benefit of the community in and around Simanggang.
