MIRI: A driver has a close shave with death when the car he was driving rammed into the rear of a trailer at Jalan Persisiran Pantai here on Tuesday night.
The accident happened around 8pm while the 30-year-old driver was travelling from the city to Bekenu.
A source said the accident was believed to have occurred when the driver failed to see a trailer parked by the roadside before his car rammed into its rear.
“The impact of the collision caused the car to be badly damaged on the left side.
“However, the driver was lucky to escape unscathed,” he said.
According to the source, the trailer driver was believed to have escaped shortly after the accident.
Police are investigating the case.
