A veteran member and official of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Datuk Peter Minos, is of the opinion that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) must win in the 2021 state election.
“It really must win! We have too much at stake,” he said in a statement following the launch of GPS logo at PBB headquarters by Jalan Bako, yesterday.
“It’s unthinkable for GPS to falter in 2021 for we would face the likelihood of Sarawak losing its powers over immigration, land, forestry, minerals and other things to PH and those from Malaya.
“We have already lost our oil and gas wealth to Petronas. What more will we lose if PH and the Malayans come in 2021 and control and dominate?”
He said as for Sarawakians who have been turned, let them be to serve their Malayan masters.
“Even then, I really hope they would rethink and go the Sarawakian way if they really love Sarawak.
“When faced by PH and the Malayan people, it’s best for Sarawakians to set aside their differences for the sake of unity. We cannot face our external political foes if we are divided,” he said.
He believed that GPS must be massively promoted so that Sarawakians of all political persuasions would become aware of it.
“GPS is, after all, meant for all Sarawakians. Its agenda must be made very clear, understood and accepted by all Sarawakians,” he explained.
“Yes, by all, not just those in PBB, SUPP, PRS and PDP.”
“We must make sure that Sarawak has hopes and a future thru GPS. It is now or never,” he added.
