SRI AMAN: A 49-year-old man, Wong Chui Ying, died at 2.30am yesterday (December 26) during treatment in the emergency ward of Sri Aman Hospital.

He was injured in an accident about 11.40pm on Christmas Day when two cars collided (both Perodua Kenari).

Wong, who was driving from Temudok to Sri Aman town was hit by Tang Kwong Lee’s car that was heading in the opposite direction.

Both drivers incurred critical injuries and were brought to Sri Aman Hospital, while four other persons who were Wong’s passengers had minor injuries.

Initial investigation revealed that Tang lost control of his car before hitting Wong. The four injured are Hew Fong Sin, 40, Josephine Wong Kion Joo, 15, Sherene Wong, 14, and Winnie Wong Kion, 10.
