KUCHING: NEX Pickleball’s new home at The Podium combines accessibility, modern aesthetics, and player-friendly design, creating a weather-proof, community-first boutique indoor studio that promises to redefine the pickleball experience in Sarawak.
Envo Teoh, Founder of NEX Pickleball at The Podium, said the facility features five indoor pickleball courts designed for coaching, training, social play, and friendly community events.
He added that The Podium, located at Jalan Tun Datuk Patinggi Haji Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, is strategically situated in a central area with ample parking and modern amenities.
“Our purple/blue in-play surfaces with pink accents provide strong contrast with yellow balls under LED lighting, improve ball tracking on camera, and reflect NEX’s lively, inclusive brand,” Teoh told Sarawak Tribune today.
The purple-blue-pink theme, inspired by the Paris Olympics’ ‘Phygital Purple’ concept, embodies energy, inclusivity, and modernity, while reinforcing NEX’s recognisable and vibrant brand identity.
“For official tournaments requiring larger clearances or special setups, NEX collaborates with partner halls, while The Podium remains focused on community engagement and skill development,” he added.
Since its opening, the venue has attracted a growing number of local enthusiasts eager to experience the sport in a modern, well-designed space.
“As for NEX, it stands for Next Experience – reflecting our vision to bring players into the next level of sporting, social, and lifestyle experiences through pickleball.
“It’s about moving forward, exploring new possibilities, and creating a vibrant community space,” Teoh said.
Perched on the third floor, NEX Pickleball at The Podium also treats players to striking views of the Kuching skyline while they play.
